individual therapy

I work primarily from a relational psychodynamic framework in order to help you move toward deep and lasting change. In this approach, I will help you identify connections between past and present experiences, with the aim of freeing you from old patterns or ways of being and helping you feel more aligned in what you choose to do today and tomorrow. I also attend directly to our relationship in the room, considering this a valuable window into interpersonal dynamics that may unfold for you outside of therapy. My approach is grounded in theories of oppression, power, and intersectionality, consistently considering how social and political realities shape our everyday experiences. I value the integration of humor, art, dreams, and fantasy in the therapeutic process as a means of getting to know you more fully.
